The Chery E5 is equipped with advanced technological applications, offering both the driver and passenger pleasure on the road. Its spacious passenger compartment offers optimum comfort in a quiet environment. The chassis of the E5 is tuned by Lotus, the British manufacturer of sports and racing cars, offering stability and comfort. Macpherson suspension in the front, multilink rear independent suspension, intensive advance applications including Can-bus intelligent control system, multimedia infotainment, and steering wheel mounted audio control system to control the audio system of single CD, MP3/USB ports with 4 speakers, all of these features help maximize the handling and comfort.
The new E5 is powered by a high-performance 1.8L, 132HP DOHC ACTECO powertrain and coupled with CVT Transmission. The multi-award winning ACTECO engine, jointly developed by Chery and AVL, Austria, has also passed a 3,000,000 km road test and 10,000 hours tough bench test following European and American standards.
The extreme temperature and highland test prove its ability to offer a good start even in extreme conditions. The chassis of E5 is accurately tuned by Lotus on parts, including spring, shock absorber, horizontal stabilizer bar and redirector, making a more solid structure to provide stable driving and stronger power handling. Its German Continental Teves, Anti-locking Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution System (EBD) braking control system can prevent wheel-locking, shortening the braking distance and enhancing the vehicle stability. Moreover, the car is also equipped with rear parking sensors.
Front ventilated disc and rear solid disc braking systems ensure stable braking performance even in tough conditions. An all metal cage with high strength steel beams in the front and back, anti-collision board in the front doors and steel bars in the rear doors are designed to absorb the force of the impact during collision and offer maximum protection to the driver and passengers.
The sporty look of the car is highlighted by the chrome front grille with simple lines, colour integrated bumper and electric power rear view mirrors, eagle eye-shaped crystal lamps, oval high penetrating front fog lamps, irregular triangle diamond tail lamp cluster, rear fog lamp, high mount brake lights and 7 spoke 15" alloy wheel hub with sharp lines. Integrated wing shaped centre console with clear functions display and rotary knobs for easy reach and operation add to the driving comfort.
The dual colour contrast interior of the new Chery E5 creates a pleasant interior space giving it a stylish spacious and a sporty feel. The cabin is spacious and the skyline arc-shape roof provides more head room with sliding sunroof. Its broad and deep rear trunk offers generous and practical storage space. While the dual lines on the bonnet give the E5 a muscular feel, the skyline arc-shaped roof gives it a smooth look. The waistline extending to the rear lamp not only maximizes the dynamic appearance but also reduces wind resistance, thus increasing the driving pleasure.
Ergonomically designed 4 ways adjustable seats made with soft and fine leather, vent-holes and contoured sides provide perfect lumbar, back and leg support for optimum seating comfort. Height adjustable neck and head support relieve fatigue and protect head and neck in collision. The fold-in rear seats provide large flat space for additional storage.
